Final Thoughts – Analyzing the game as a whole
Graphics and UI
The art in this game is awesome! Even though it’s super simple, the adventure has a unique aesthetic, the kind where you stop at every scene and just admire everything.
There is no text in the game, everything is indicated by drawings.
In the options, there is a chapter selection and it took me a while to understand what it was about. Another thing I took a while to notice was the possibility of interacting with elements that appear inside the “dialogue” bubbles.
Soundtrack and Sound Effects
They match the game’s art perfectly, providing total immersion in the story.
Gameplay
Although simple, the gameplay isn’t that intuitive right at the start. As I mentioned before, it took me a while to realize I could interact with elements inside the “dialogue” bubbles.
The game is actually a very short and linear story, you can almost not consider it a point-and-click. However, there is a whole atmosphere involved… There is no text, just a very interesting and engaging visual and sound language.
Replayability and Game Retention
The story is very short and the ending is always the same.
The replay value for me was just for the achievements, because once you’ve seen the story, there isn’t much reason to go back since nothing changes.
It’s a “one-and-done” type of experience.
