Sigi is a super cliché story, but with a humorous twist that makes the gameplay feel very laid-back.
You control Sigi, a knight who saw a mermaid and fell in love with her… however, he also saw her being kidnapped, and his mission is to rescue her!

Final Thoughts – Analyzing the game as a whole

Graphics and UI

Very cute and detailed pixel art. I really liked the stages, they’re genuinely very well done.

The map shamelessly copies the style of the Super Mario World map from the Super Nintendo, but that doesn’t take away from the game’s charm or identity at all, quite the opposite, it gives us a nice hit of nostalgia.

The menu and HUD are simple to navigate and comprehend.

Soundtrack and Sound Effects

Well-made music and sound effects, not to mention the memorable fart sound that plays when you finish a stage!

Gameplay

The game’s biggest flaw is that it’s extremely short! There are only 20 stages, which can be completed in about 1 hour (at least that was the case for me, less experienced players might take a bit longer).

Despite the low difficulty, the game still feels very immersive, making you want to keep moving forward, since the game’s universe is very charming.
The bosses have specific patterns. They’re easy to memorize, but they still manage to keep the gameplay fun.

Replayability and Game Retention

Aside from starting everything over again, hunting for secret routes, and unlocking all the achievements, I don’t see much reason to play it again.
