Final Considerations – Analyzing the Work as a Whole
Graphics and UI
The pixel art is purposefully confusing, and without narrative context, it’s hard to tell exactly what we’re seeing.
Everything in the game is dominated by pinkish and orange tones, giving it an even more sinister feel.
In the end, our eyes are guided by the dialogue with the protagonist, who almost always tells us where she is and what she’s seeing.
This is very effective, as it helps reinforce the suspenseful atmosphere.
Unfortunately, the game doesn’t have a proper menu.
Before starting, the player is informed about only two buttons: one for controlling the volume (which is already quite low by default) and another for switching the display mode (windowed or fullscreen).
To exit the game, you must switch to windowed mode and close it manually. Accessibility is poor, and this is a major negative point.
Soundtrack and Sound Effects
The soundtrack emphasizes the suspenseful atmosphere and psychological horror.
I really liked it and thought it fit well with the narrative.
When the protagonist speaks, a sound effect plays to simulate her voice.
Gameplay
Your objective is to help the protagonist buy milk, and that’s it.
You don’t know who she is, where she lives, or what problems she has that require your help.
As the game progresses, the story becomes increasingly bizarre and creepy.
There are two endings, and both are fairly easy to achieve.
Personally, I love these “B-side” ideas, but it’s a shame this little game is so short.
Replayability and Game Retention
The game is very short, and you can reach both endings in under an hour.
I don’t see much reason to replay it repeatedly, but I can say that during the time I spent with it, I was entertained.
I think the replay value is valid, but only after some time has passed and you’ve started to forget the details of the story. Before that, there doesn’t seem to be much point.
