Nurse Love Addiction tells the story of Asuka, a girl who enrolls in nursing school but seems to have no talent for it. In fact, she doesn’t really know why she chose to become a nurse.
It’s a slice-of-life game with a very innocent and sentimental atmosphere.
Final Thoughts – Analyzing the Game as a Whole
Graphics and UI
What caught my interest in this game was its shoujo aesthetic.
All the colors were carefully selected, with everything rendered in pastel tones that bring a sense of softness and tranquility.
The line art is also brown and gray, which adds even more lightness to the compositions.
The settings feel very repetitive at first, but as the story unfolds, new locations are introduced.
This becomes especially evident in the final part, when the story diverges into different routes.
The UI is lovely and uses a serif font.
Everything feels visually harmonious!
The only thing I didn’t particularly like was the blinking menu icons. I found them quite dated. :/
The game includes a dialogue history feature, which helped me a lot in certain moments, since some events happen so quickly that I had to double-check whether I understood them correctly.
Soundtrack and Sound Effects
The music is very calm and charming, and the protagonist is voiced in most of the dialogue.
This gives the story a lot of liveliness and makes it quite immersive.
I’m not usually the type of player who gets hooked on this kind of game, but I really enjoyed the music and even ended up memorizing some songs.
Gameplay
Everything in this game is cute and innocent. It’s literally a sweet story about the power of love and friendship, filled with dramatic moments. The protagonist is discovering love and adulthood, all wrapped in a super sentimental and poetic tone.
It takes a long time for the first choice to appear. I confess that during my first playthrough, I got really impatient because it was just reading, reading, reading… :/
This game is also a dating sim, so expect endings where you either end up happily (or badly) with one of the girls (yes, it’s a yuri game).
Ironically, in the first ending I got, I ended up alone! Hahaha
Each ending reveals a different part of the story, and some routes explore completely new directions. Seriously, they’re very different and take unexpected turns.
Some of these moments try to explain things like Asuka’s memory lapses.
However, these plot points feel like loose ends. In Professor Kaede’s route — and in the route where you don’t end up with anyone — they’re not even mentioned. :/
I found that a bit forced, since it deviates completely from reality, while the overall story is grounded in a real-world setting rather than a fantasy world with magical powers, etc.
The characters are very well-developed, each with a distinct personality.
Nurse Love Addiction does not contain nudity or explicit ecchi content. That’s not the focus!
If you’re looking for something purely for fan service, this isn’t it.
When you finish the game for the first time, you unlock the illustration gallery, along with other extras: character messages (everything is in Japanese, I could only understand the introductions and a few parts), music, and voice clips for certain menu selections.
Replayability and Game Retention
I stopped and restarted this game several times.
Honestly, I’m not the target audience. I don’t have much patience for slice-of-life stories or this type of narrative.
I tried to complete all the routes, but I didn’t have the patience. :/
It’s a very “everyday life” kind of story, and it couldn’t keep me fully engaged.
