The story is very simple: it’s just you and your car, driving around in the forest, when suddenly you find yourself stuck on the edge of a cliff.
There’s nothing you can do to get out of there, all you can do is watch your vehicle tilt forward and backward over and over again.
Facing death, what’s left for you? Reflecting on life, death, and everything around you.
You guide your entire train of thought, always choosing between an optimistic or pessimistic perspective.
Final Thoughts – Looking at the Game as a Whole
Graphics and UI
The art is amazing! Beautiful color compositions, always in harmony with the game’s situations. I was really impressed by how subtle everything is, how the environment keeps changing and adding so much weight to the story.
The menu is easy to understand, with an aesthetic that leans toward a minimalistic and elegant style.
Soundtrack and Sound Effects
They fit perfectly with the art and animations. Everything is subtle and in perfect harmony.
Gameplay
A great visual novel about existential questions with hints of nihilism.
The entire game takes place in the same location, but everything around you transforms during the dialogues, and there are moments when you’re so immersed that you don’t even notice time passing.
Nature is your companion throughout this journey, so expect all kinds of visitors.
I don’t recommend the game to people who don’t enjoy reflecting on life and related topics, because not only is that the core of the experience, but everything that happens revolves around it, including the animations and the changes in scenery.
It’s very “read, think, and respond”. If you hate reading and having to think about your answers, you won’t enjoy it.
The only downside, in my opinion, is that you can’t save the game whenever you want. Everything is overwritten in a single automatic save. After finishing the story, you’ll need to start over from the beginning to make other choices.
Replayability and Game Retention
The story is very short, so it’s doable to play again just to see what happens when you pick different dialogue options. But since there’s only one save file, it can get tiresome if you want to collect all the achievements.
