Tsioque (PC)

Technical Information

Developer: OhNoo Studio, Smile
Publisher: OhNoo Studio
Release Date: November 7, 2018

This game tells the story of Tsioque, a princess who lived in a very prosperous kingdom. One day, the queen needed to travel far away, claiming that she had to fight for Tsioque.
Soon after, a wizard climbed to the highest tower of the kingdom and cast his power over it, turning day into night and imprisoning the princess in a tower.
Your mission in this game is to help Tsioque defeat this terrible wizard and bring peace back to the kingdom.

Tsioque is an excellent point-and-click game with a lighthearted story and simple puzzles.

Final Thoughts – Analyzing the Game as a Whole

Graphics and UI

The art style is very childish, and the animation is excellent. Despite the simple style, there are many details in the illustrations, especially in the backgrounds.

The game has a strong 90s vibe. If you like point-and-click games from that era, you should definitely play it!

The game doesn’t offer many options, which makes everything easy to understand. To save the game, simply click on the gear icon or press the Esc key.
The HUD is extremely simple, showing only a gear (game options) and a bag that can be clicked to display the items you’ve collected. To use an item, just select it and click where you want to use it.

Interactive areas change the mouse icon into a hand, making the gameplay very intuitive.

Soundtrack and Sound Effects

The music and sound effects are excellent, and the voice acting is the icing on the cake, making the experience even more immersive (I loved the imp voices! <3 hahaha).

Gameplay

I was really impressed by the game’s quality!
The gameplay is quite simple, but there are moments with quick time events that push you out of your comfort zone and test your mouse agility.

The story is very linear, with three specific moments where I got stuck, more due to a lack of attention than actual difficulty.

I highly recommend this game for children, as there isn’t much text and everything is simple. An excellent choice to introduce them to the gaming world!

Tsioque’s only flaw is that it’s short. I finished the game wanting more. :/
And then there’s the ending… it’s quite surprising!

Replayability and Game Retention

I don’t see much reason to replay the game beyond earning achievements or revisiting it after forgetting most of the puzzles, as is common with point-and-click games.
That said, it’s certainly an adventure worth reliving.
