Final Thoughts – Analyzing the Game as a Whole
Graphics and UI
Pixel art with the best 8-bit vibe.
The animations are very well done. Despite having few frames, everything feels just right.
I found the main character very charming. She always appears in strategic poses that make her look sexy.
The only information displayed on the HUD is your health, represented by hearts.
Very intuitive, even for those who aren’t used to playing shmups.
Soundtrack and Sound Effects
I loved the music! Since it’s a short game, there’s only one song that loops. However, I didn’t find it annoying, quite the opposite. I think it adds a strong retro gaming feel.
Gameplay
The gameplay is very simple: you just need to move the character and jump. The shooting is automatic, which helps you focus on avoiding the demon’s magic attacks.
It’s an adult game, so expect some sex scenes throughout. I won’t explain the context to avoid spoiling the experience (even though it’s not a story-focused game, I was glad that the fetishistic concept of rape was completely avoided).
Unfortunately, at the end of the game, the scenes are not available as separate menu options.
The entire game has only one boss (who is, in fact, the final boss). She has several different stages. If you die, you can restart from the last stage. This makes it much easier because, even though the patterns are easy to learn, some are quite difficult to beat.
At the end, a score is displayed showing your number of deaths and how many minutes it took you to complete the game.
Replayability and Game Retention
It’s a great game! You can play it casually, and you’ll need both hands to finish it.
Despite the adult theme, I found it very creative and charming.
I’m sure I’ll play it again, just to kill some boredom.
