Final Thoughts – Analyzing the Game as a Whole
Graphics and UI
You can’t deny that the art is the highlight of this game.
The pixel art is very well made, with creative compositions and smooth animations.
Everything in this game is bizarre, strangely familiar and, at the same time, completely terrifying.
I really enjoyed its aesthetic. The name suggests that everything takes place in the sea, but at various moments it feels like we’re inside a living organism. It plays with shapes in a very interesting way.
When you start the game, a brief tutorial appears to explain the controls. It’s very intuitive.
The character’s health is displayed in the lower center of the screen, and when their stamina runs out, the character turns gray.
Soundtrack and Sound Effects
The background music gave me the feeling of truly being at sea. However, if you pay attention, it also blends well with space-themed settings.
The sound effects are very simple, mostly resembling water or suction sounds. They complement the game’s concept well, especially considering the name.
Gameplay
The gameplay is straightforward: you must eat smaller creatures and avoid the bigger ones. As you grow, you become stronger, and even larger creatures begin to appear.
At first, I thought I should only eat creatures with colors similar to mine, but eventually I realized it’s a matter of size, not color.
In addition to directional controls, you can perform a dash. This is very useful for escaping and can also be used to break certain barriers that appear.
Replayability and Game Retention
The game is quite short and has a bizarre ending.
And somewhat sad as well.
Despite its short length, achievements have been included, which may increase replay value for players who enjoy completing everything 100%.
