The classic Atari Asteroids game, but with a modern visual and for PC.
Your goal is to stay alive as long as possible and accumulate points.

Final Thoughts – Analyzing the game as a whole

Graphics and UI

Nice pixel art, but I found that it lacked variety in assets. Both asteroids and backgrounds are quite repetitive.

The UI and HUD are clean, but I thought it was missing a brief description of the difference between “Arcade” and “Black Hole” modes. To me, the difference didn’t become very clear while playing, and I assumed that in “Black Hole” mode all fragments are attracted to a specific point on the scenario.

Soundtrack and Sound Effects

The music is cool, but it’s always the same. After some time playing, you start to feel like you’re not getting anywhere and it gets annoying.

Gameplay

It’s easy to play, and you can choose to use mouse + keyboard or joystick.
I noticed that the level design is static, with no significant change in the number of asteroids during the game, so after you get a feel for the game, it becomes somewhat monotonous. :/

Replayability and Game Retention

Since there’s no challenge beyond beating your own score, the replay value doesn’t feel that high.
As the game itself doesn’t present much of a challenge, I didn’t feel motivated to always try to beat my score. But it’s a good casual game to play!
