Technical Information
Developer: Free Lives
Publisher: Devolver Digital
Release Date: January 18, 2018
Dive into a world where everyone is a penis and help John, a penis who has always heard from his schoolmates that he was a loser and would never find the love of his life. Help him find a girlfriend to take to his high school reunion and prove to everyone that they were wrong!
WARNING! I didn’t censor the game screenshots!
All characters are penises, and adding censorship to the images would make the game’s focus unclear. If you don’t like this type of content, I recommend not continuing.
Final Thoughts – Analyzing the Game as a Whole
Graphics and UI
The game’s art is really cool! It’s a style that works well with flat design.
Everything in the game has a simple touch, which brings a lot of personality to it.
The menus are easy to understand, and during gameplay there’s no HUD — at most, a string of text telling you what to do.
Soundtrack and Sound Effects
I found the sound effects much more interesting than the music.
The music isn’t memorable, it’s quite bland. It creates a good atmosphere for the game, but it could have more charisma.
The story mode is narrated by a woman, and her performance is great!
Gameplay
The first time I played this game was in 2017, when it was still in early access. At that time, only the multiplayer mode was available.
The game supports local and online PvP and allows up to 8 players per match. The multiplayer mode is a kind of party game with various mini-games, and whoever wins more games earns points to unlock outfits (yes, outfits for the penises! haha).
I recommend playing multiplayer with friends, because it’s really fun!
In story mode, you control John, a penis full of insecurities. To avoid feeling like a failure, he goes after a girlfriend to take to his high school reunion and prove to the bullies that they were wrong.
The story is filled with humor and funny situations. There’s absolutely no drama, it’s a game meant to make you laugh.
The only flaw is that it’s short (I finished it in approximately one hour) and doesn’t include additional stories.
The gameplay is very good, and the physics are well adjusted. At first, I found it a bit awkward, but the adaptation was quick.
Replayability and Game Retention
After finishing the story mode and unlocking all the achievements, there’s only one thing left to do: play multiplayer.
Multiplayer is fun, but it can become annoying quickly. Still, it’s an excellent choice for gathering friends, and who knows, maybe even creating some drinking games!
